1. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Listing data — vehicle details, photos, asking price, and location you submit when creating a listing.
• Contact events — records of buyer actions such as WhatsApp taps and call initiations, associated with a listing (not with a buyer identity).
• Phone number — collected at checkout (MoMo payment) to process and record the transaction.
• Device & session data — browser type, IP address, and session identifiers for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Display your vehicle listings to prospective buyers
• Provide dealer analytics (lead counts, views, revenue summaries)
• Process and record MoMo payment transactions
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or prohibited listings
• Improve Platform features and performance

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (Ghana DPA)

Under Act 843, we process your data on the following lawful bases:

• Consent — for contact event logging and analytics, which you consent to by using the Platform.
• Contract performance — for processing listings and payments you initiate.
• Legitimate interests — for fraud prevention and Platform security.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

• Mobile Money network providers (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo) as required to process payments — currently simulated.
• Cloud infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
• Where required by Ghanaian law or lawful court order.

5. Data Retention

Listing data is retained for the duration your listing is active plus 12 months for dispute resolution purposes. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Ghanaian financial regulations. Contact event logs are retained for 24 months.

6. Your Rights Under Ghana Data Protection Act 843

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to processing of your personal data
• Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting past processing)
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana

7. Cookies & Session Data

We use session cookies to maintain dashboard state and anonymous analytics. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser but some Platform features may not function correctly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
